1. Information we collect

Information you give us

• Account details: your name, email address and password. We store passwords only in an encrypted (hashed) form.
• Invitation content: the names, event dates, venue, messages, photos and music you add to your digital invitation.
• Guest responses (RSVP): when guests reply to an invitation, we store the details they enter, such as name, email, number of guests, dietary needs and message. These are shown only to the invitation owner.
• Support messages: details you send us by email, phone or WhatsApp.

Payment information

Payments are processed by Razorpay, our payment gateway. We do not collect or store your card number, CVV, UPI PIN or net-banking password. We receive only the payment reference, amount, status and payment method from Razorpay to confirm your order. Razorpay’s use of your data is governed by the Razorpay Privacy Policy.

Story Maker

Photos and drafts you use in the Story Maker are processed in your browser and stay on your device. We do not upload them to our servers. We store only your purchase record when you buy a paid story template.

Information collected automatically

• Cookies: essential cookies keep you signed in and secure. They are required for the website to work.
• Analytics: we use Google Tag Manager / Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the website (pages visited, device and browser type, approximate location). This information is not used to identify you personally.
• Technical logs: IP address, browser type and access times, used for security and to prevent abuse.

2. How we use your information

• To create your account and deliver the invitation or story template you bought.
• To host your invitation website and show RSVPs to you.
• To process payments, refunds and send payment receipts.
• To respond to your support requests.
• To keep the website secure and prevent fraud.
• To meet legal, tax and accounting requirements.

We do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone.

3. Who we share it with

We share information only with service providers we need to run Shadify:

• Razorpay — payment processing.
• Cloud hosting and database providers — to store and serve the website and your data.
• Google — website analytics.
• Government or law-enforcement authorities — only when required by law.

Anyone who has the link to your published invitation can view it. Do not add information to an invitation that you do not want guests to see.

4. Data security

We use HTTPS encryption, hashed passwords, secure sign-in cookies and access controls to protect your data. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

5. How long we keep data

We keep your account and invitation data while your account is active. Payment and order records are kept for as long as required by Indian tax and accounting laws (usually up to 8 years). You may ask us to delete your account at any time.

6. Your rights

You can:

• access and update your account and invitation details from your dashboard;
• ask us for a copy of your personal data;
• ask us to correct or delete your data;
• withdraw your consent, which may stop us from providing the service.

7. Children

Shadify is not meant for children under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children. Users under 18 should use the service only with a parent or guardian.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when it last changed. Continuing to use the website after a change means you accept the updated policy.
